Roles & Responsibilities
· Report to General Manager of Investment & Business Development
· Identify, evaluate, negotiate and complete various forms of business development
and investment transactions, including asset-based license-in and license-out,
M&A, JV, divestment, etc.
· Focus on specialty care therapeutic areas, e.g. oncology, immunology, etc.
· Post deal alliance management
· Other ad-hoc strategic project
Key Competencies
· Master or Doctoral Degree in pharmaceutical, biology, medical, or other related
disciplines. MBA is preferred.
· At least 8 years professional working experience, and 3 years prior experience of
business development or investment, in pharmaceutical/biotech companies,
preferably MNCs, or PE/VC firms
· Successful transaction records of pharmaceutical licensing, M&A, or investment
· Hands-on experience of identifying targets, building business case, term sheet
drafting, due diligence, contract negotiation
· Strong project management skills, manage process and various internal and
external stakeholders
· Profound knowledge and insight of specialty care therapeutic areas, particularly
oncology and immunology
· Knowledge in innovative drug discovery and development
· Knowledge of finance and legal
· Good understanding and insight of China and global pharmaceutical market
· Ability to convey complex concepts and strategies, orally and in writing
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Good Excel and Powerpoint skills
