Responsibilities:
- Independently design and develop biochemical and biophysical assays for drug discovery and MOA elucidation.
- Be able to do trouble shooting and address key issues of the project.
- Introduce the cutting-edge methods into work and optimize the current platform to improve the work efficiency.
- Be responsible for data interpretation and communication within and outside of the group.
- Collaborate closely with biochemists, medicinal chemists, cell biologists and in vivo pharmacologists to speed up the drug discovery process and fulfill BeiGene drug discovery goals.
- Have deep understanding and insight for drug discovery. Be able to propose drug targets and initial new programs.
- Complete other project based, drug discovery and IND or NDA related works.
- Training team members and lead the team to fulfill the assigned tasks and smoothly move the project forward.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in enzymology, biochemistry, cell biology or related major.
- At least 5 years drug discovery experience.
- Strong scientific background with proven track-record of scientific publications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivated and collaborative.
- Strong written and communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Experience with biochemical technologies such as ELISA, HTRF, AlphaScreen, FP and biophysical technologies such as SPR, BLI, MST, ITC, DLS or TSA, is highly desired.
- Experience with HTS and hit validation is plus.
