ROLE SUMMARY
Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) harnesses the power of data to drive robust analytical insights that inform some of Pfizer
s most critical business questions. With colleagues across the globe, BAI’s rigorous analytical expertise is depended on as the compass and decision support for the enterprise. The BAI Senior Manager, China, will partner with the China commercial teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality strategic business decision support. As a member of the Business Analytics & Insights organization, this colleague will partner with Commercial Finance, Biopharm Ops, Digital COEs, Chief Business Officer COEs and other analytics functions as necessary to ensure all resources are fully and appropriately leveraged to deliver robust solutions to business issues.
The person in this role will be a proactive business partner with country or multi-country leadership team. He/she will develop and deliver the analytics and insights plan to support the adaptation of global strategies and tactics for the local market. This will include performance measurement, customer analytics, customer journey development, customer data mining and market research, digital analysis, haoaas needed to uncover insights.
This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. The successful candidate will join BAI colleagues worldwide that are constantly supporting business transformation through their proactive thought leadership, innovative analytical capabilities and their ability to communicate highly complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Role definition and Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Market Analytics
Provide analytical insights support to the market and recommend, define and implement unique and innovative business analytics plans that generate insights and influence business priorities and objectives
Lead customer/omni-channel analysis and consultation to proactively provide deep insights that drive and maximize business opportunities, including segmentation, customer journey development, data mining, workshopping insights into actions. Collaborate closely with marketing and Customer Experience teams in this context and lead forums to analyze and discuss results with country leadership.
Conduct primary market research, secondary analytics and advanced analytics to answer business questions.
Forecasting/Operating Plan Support
In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, support the development of Long Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans.
Coordinate forecasting activities with local in-country, Global BAI, and Forecasting CoE colleagues.
Qualify and quantify business opportunities, including communicating results and recommendations.
Ensure accurate and effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business.
xBU Analytics Support on Critical Business Decisions
Lead and drive cross BU level analytical support such as but not limited to: VBP analysis, Launch Excellence, Market Intelligence, Performance Data Visualization, GTM Transformation, etc.
Coordinate within BAI group for cross BU analytics support for most collective advantages
Vendor/Offshore Resource Management
Develop, commission and contract projects through preferred vendors
Accountable for meeting compliance and Corporate SOP obligations of all PMR projects
Manage budgets associated with assigned activities
Direct workload of flexible resources
Be accountable for continuous improvement and identification/utilization of new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business
Collaboration with other Analytical team
Partner with other category colleagues and local analytical teams to adapt global strategies to the local markets
Actively seek to share knowledge and expertise with other colleagues making use of knowledge sharing platform
Alignment with other BAI teams (CoEs/other Country teams) to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders

PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Technical Skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Understands quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Extensive experience in management of secondary data. Knowledgeable about study design and able to assess vendor technical capabilities.
Proven ability to connect, integrate and synthesize analysis and data into a meaningful ‘so what’ to drive concrete strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making. Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business question.
Expertise in the field of customer/omni-channel analytics
Previous demonstrated experience of forecasting revenues
5+ years of commercial, strategy and/or research/analytics experience, experience with budget and resource al"location" management, SFE analysis
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred in a quantitative discipline.
