PositionDescription
Performscellbiologyassaysandroutinecellculturemaintenceinnewlyformeddepartmentforbiosafetytestingofbiologics.Positionwillberesponsibleforprovidingconsistentcellsinculturetootherdepartmentsfordetectionvirusesincell-based,immunologicalandmolecularbiologyassays;andwillworkwithclientsamplestotestfortoxicityandgrowthinhibition.WorkwillrequirestrictadherencetocompliancewithGoodLaboratoryPractices(GLP),currentGoodManufacturingPractices(cGMP),andrelevantSFDAandotherinternationalregulatoryregulationsasneeded,andStandardOperatingProcedures(SOPs).Underdirectsupervision,performsstudies,completesbatchrecordsandotherrequireddocumentationandperformslaboratorymaintenancedutiesaccordingtoSOPs.PerformsadditionalResearch&Developmentactivitiesasrequired.
?Conductscell-basedassaysbasedoncellculture,molecularorimmunologicaltechniques
?ConductslabproceduresaccordingtoandincompliancewithGLP,cGMP,SFDAguidelinesandSOPs.
?Performcellbasedassaysoncustomersmaterialsandthenassessescellgrowthcharacteristics
?AccuratelycompletesbatchrecordsandotherrequireddocumentationaccordingtoandincompliancewithGLP,cGMP,CFRandChineseFDAguidelinesandSOPs.
?MaintainslaboratorynotebookandfollowsallgeneralandlaboratorySOPs.
?Performsassaysusingappropriatelaboratorytechniquesforlabgroupassignedto.
?ReportsobservationsofongoingteststoStudyDirectororLaboratoryManager.
?Communicateswithsupervisorandothercolleaguesre:dailylabactivities.
?Demonstratesproficiencyinscientifictheoryandrigorouspracticalapplicationinthecompletionoflabprocedures.
?Correctlyanalyzesscientificdatawithaccuracyandprecision.
?Contributestothepreparationandrevisionoftechnicaldocumentsandreports.
?Preparesreagentsandcompletesreagentbatchrecords.
?Checksreagentsforexpiredchemicalsanddisposesofanyexpiredreagents.
?Performslaboratorymaintenance(i.e.decontaminatesanddisposesofmedicalandotherwasteasappropriate,maintainslaboratorysupplyinventories,keepsworksurfacescleanandneat)andkeepsrecordsofmaintenanceaccordingtoguidelinesandSOPs.
?Performsroutineequipmentmonitoringandcleaning(i.e.centrifuges,biosafetyandchemicalhoods,refrigerators,incubatorsandfreezers)andkeepsrecordsaccordingtoguidelinesandSOPs.
?Communicatesinventoryneedstosupervisor.
?Preparessamplestobesentouttootherlabsasneeded.
?Completesallrequisitetraining(i.e.BloodbornePathogen,QualityAssurance,safety,etc.).

？PositionQualifications:
?JuniorcollegegraduateorBachelor’sdegreewithmajorinBiologicalSciencesorsciencerelatedmajororequivalenttrainingand/orexperience.Knowledgeand/orexperiencewithcellcultureandvirusesisanadvantagebutnotabsolutelynecessary.
?Understandaseptictechnique.
?Understandingofmicropipettesandanalyticalbalances.
?UnderstandingoralandwrittenEnglish.
