TheDirectorofBusinessDevelopmentwillworkwithintheBusinessDevelopmentfunction,andcrossfunctionally.ThisrolewillreporttotheVicePresidentofBusinessDevelopment,tocreatenewopportunities,manageexistingrelationships,andrefineAdagene’sstrategy.

TheDirectorofBusinessDevelopmentwillberesponsibleforawiderangeofbusinessdevelopmentactivitiesincludingidentifyingandevaluatingout-licensingopportunities,termsheetandcontractnegotiation,contractimplementation,aswellasprojectandalliancemanagement.

CandidatemustbefluentinChineseandEnglish,bothwrittenandverbal.Candidatemusthavestrongjudgmentanddecision-makingskills,andmustbeabletothinkandactstrategicallyandtactically.Astrongtrackrecordinbusinessdevelopment,withadiverseportfoliooftransactions,includingantibodypartnering,iscriticaltothisrole.Thecandidatemustbeteam-oriented,withstronginterpersonalskills,andmustbeapositiveinfluenceontheAdageneculture.

Responsibilities:
-Identify,evaluate,andprioritizetargetedopportunitiesthatadvanceAdagene’sstrategicplan
-Prepareandpresentthesedealopportunities,terms,anddetailseffectivelyandefficientlytotheleadershipteam
-Establishinternalandexternalrelationshipstoensureearlyidentification,evaluation,andexecutionofopportunities
-Contributetostrategicplanningandalignmentofbusinessdevelopmentactivities
-Workcollaborativelywithflexibility
-Attendrelevantexternalpartneringandscientificconferences
-Managetherelationshipwiththepotentialpartnerinaprofessional,proactive,timelymanner
-Participateinandorleadthedealnegotiation,anddealexecution,makingsurethatpostdealactivitiesarefullycompleted
-Ensurealignmentbetweeninternalstakeholdersincludingprojectteams,projectmanagement,legal,andfinance

Qualifications:
-5to8yearsofrelevantindustryexperienceinbiotechnologydrugdiscoveryanddevelopmentwithsignificantexposuretoantibodiesandbiologics
-3+yearsofbusinessdevelopment,projectmanagement,orsourcingexperiencewithaproventrackrecordoffosteringstrongcollaborationacrosscompanies,departments,andcountries
-MustbefluentinEnglishandChinese,bothwrittenandverbal
-Musthavebroadknowledgeofthebio-pharmaceuticalindustry,withexperienceinevaluationofscientific,valuation,financial,andcommercialmodeling
-Mustbehighlymotivatedself-starter,highlyflexible
-Musthaveexcellentwritten,presentation,andverbalcommunicationsskil
-Stronganalyticskillsandabilitytoidentifyandcommunicatekeyitemsefficientlyandeffetelyanddistillationofcomplexissuesintocorecomponents
-Mustshowstronginterpersonalandleadershipskillsandbeteamoriented
