PURPOSE
ConsultingwiththeManagementofBioanalyticalLab,theSeniorScientistisresponsibleforleadingdevelopmentandvalidationofbioanalyticalmethodswithapplicationinsampleanalysis,operationofLC/MSequipmentandcomplieswithQuintilesproceduresandGoodLaboratoryPractices(GLP)requirements,asapplicable
RESPONSIBILITIES
?Providesguidancefordevelopmentofreliableextraction,chromatographicandmassspectrometricanalysisprocedures.
?Maintainastrongleadershippresencethroughouttheorganizationbydrivingscientificqualityandprocessimprovementinitiatives
?ProvideoversightandconductofaprojectthroughoutitslifeatQuintiles,includingmethoddevelopment,methodvalidation,andsampleanalysis.
?WorkcloselywithTechnicalWritingandQAtoensureprojectsarecompletedonschedule.
?Reviewbioanalyticaldataandleadtroubleshooting
?Reviewvalidationandbioanalyticalreportsforcompleteness.
?Maintainallcommunicationwithcustomersprovidingdailyupdatesonallactiveprojects.
?Provideanalyticaldatatocustomers
?CanperformfundamentalLC/MSoperationstoinclude:
oLC(typicallyUPLC)systemsetup.
omassspectrometercalibration,tuningandoptimization.
oroutineLC/MSanalysis
ochromatographicpeakintegration
?CanperformadvancedLC/MSinstrumentmaintenance,troubleshooting,andrepairs.
?DocumentallprojectworkaccordingtoQuintilesprocessesandprocedures.
?CommunicateprogressandstatustotheBioanalyticalLabManagementasnecessary.
?Preparecorrectiveandpreventativeactionplans(CaPas)forassignedprojects
?Hostcustomervisitsandleadscientificandbusinessdiscussions.
?Strengthenknowledgeinchromatographicandmassspectrometrictechniques.
?Leadclientcommunications.
?ProvidestimelyandappropriatefeedbacktotheBioanalyticalLabmanagementpertainingtotheperformanceoflower-levelscientists.
?Meetresponsibilitiesandstudyobjectivesaccordingtotighttimelines.
?Functionasscientificresource,includingtraining,assistingintroubleshooting,andparticipatinginscientificinitiatives.
?Assistinmaintainingadequatesupplies.

MINIMUMREQUIREDEDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE
?Bachelor’sDegreeinChemistryorarelatedfieldwith6years’experienceincludingexperienceinLC/MSmethoddevelopment;orequivalentcombinationofeducation,trainingandexperienceinbioanalyticallaboratoryenvironment.
