Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will play a key role in BeiGene’s discovery biology comprising cancer immunotherapy and Immunology. The candidate will lead a team of internal & external biologists working across multiple programs. The person will function as a program leader to drive the drug discovery effort include target identification, validate, and clinical candidate nomination.

Responsibilities include:

Advance the Immunology/Immuno-oncology research by identifying new targets and advancing projects in the current pipeline;Leads the effort to critically evaluate, identify and validate novel drug target;Act as biology leader within cross-functional project teams to drive the candidate nomination for IND-enabling studies;Act as a high functioning drug discoverer and influential scientist within BeiGene.

Qualification Required:

Qualifications include:

PhD in immunology/oncology/cell biology or related disciplines;3+ years of relevant industry experience in a biopharmaceutical setting with extensive experience leading drug discovery project teams from lead optimization to IND-enabling studies;Experience leading and managing biology teams preferred.

Minimum requirements:

The person will have 3+ years of drug discovery experience and possess a PhD in a relevant biological science. A strong background in immuno-oncology/immunology/inflammation is preferred.
