Responsibilities:
In charge of internal small molecule or peptide-based drug candidates R&D programs
In charge of coordinating partnered small molecule or peptide-based drug candidates R&D programs
In charge of due diligence and decision-making for both internal and partnered programs in terms of target selection, identification and validation
In charge of leading the biology team
In charge of running biological laboratory
In charge of coordinating and managing CRO services
Advise Medicinal Chemistry team and Artificial Intelligence team
Assist Med Chem to draft NCE patents in collaboration with external patent attorneys

Requirements:
At least 10+ years experience in early drug discovery
With deep understanding of certain indications, preferably oncology, and its targets
With strong motivation to expand and learn different therapeutic areas and relevant targets
Serve as Project Manager with experience to move candidates from early discovery to PCC (IND or clinical stage is a plus)
Familiar with the whole research and discovery process for small molecule or peptide-based drug candidates, from target validation to PCC to IND
With hands-on experience on critical experiments for research and discovery
With experience running a lab
Deep knowledge about emerging technology or therapeutic regimen such as DEL, PROTAC, ADC and etc.
Much experience of managing and coordinating CROs in China and abroad
With much experience dealing with various stakeholders during early drug discovery, including but not limited to Medicinal chemist, pharmacologist, toxicologist, chemist for synthesis and BD staff
Multidisciplinary education background in biology, chemistry and other early drug discovery related sciences, PhD degree
Strong interpersonal skills
Willingness to work in a startup environment
